In short

Lodgehollow Funding Group takes a funding request from owners in New Bern, NC and Craven County through four steps: a conversation about purpose, a complete file, a funding partner's review and your decision. This page lists the documents partners may ask for, what they look at, how timing works and how Lodgehollow fits into the process.

Where Lodgehollow Fits

Lodgehollow Funding Group is a broker, not a lender. We do not lend money or buy receivables. We take your request, help decide which of the six funding structures suit it, assemble the file and send it to funding partners who make their own credit decisions and set their own rates and terms. When an offer comes back, you weigh it and decide.

Step 1: Naming What the Money Is For

Call (252) 318-5365 or send the short request form. The form asks for your full name, phone, email and company name (optional), plus three picks: time in business, annual revenue range and requested amount range. We call back and ask what the money will pay for, when it is needed and how the business expects to repay it. That conversation decides which structures are worth pursuing.

Step 2: The File

Which requirements come with a business loan? Each partner sets its own, but a business loan documents checklist usually starts with these:

  • Three to six months of statements from the business account, every page
  • Entity documents and proof of active status with the North Carolina Secretary of State
  • Federal tax returns, business and personal, for larger or longer requests
  • A profit and loss statement for the year so far
  • Each loan, lease or advance still being paid, plus what it costs monthly
  • For equipment, the quote; for a purchase, the agreement

Bank statements are a core record. Partners read them for regular deposits, average balances, overdrafts and existing debits. Send all pages, not screenshots.

Step 3: A Funding Partner Reads the File

So what do lenders look for in a business loan request? Mostly the ability to repay from the business's own cash flow, the owner's credit history, existing obligations and, for secured requests, the value of the collateral. They may run a credit check with your permission and ask follow-up questions through us.

And how long until a business loan is approved? It depends on the structure, the size of the request, how complete the file is and the partner's own process. No timeline is promised; a complete file is one thing within your control.

Step 4: Your Decision

An offer states the amount, the cost, the payment schedule and any conditions, such as a personal guarantee or a lien. Compare the total repaid or remitted, not just the payment. You can ask questions, ask for another option or decline. Until the partner's agreement carries your signature, nothing binds you.

What Slows a Request Down

  • Bank statements missing pages, or screenshots instead of full statements
  • An entity record that is not current with the Secretary of State
  • Existing advances or loans that were not mentioned at the start
  • A purpose that changes after the file has gone to a partner
  • Unexplained large deposits or transfers between accounts

Each of these can be fixed. Raising them on the first call lets the file be prepared with them in view.

Offers That Should Make You Pause

  • Anyone asking for a payment before you have seen a written offer
  • Being hurried to sign with pages still unread
  • An offer that will not state the total repaid or remitted
  • A second advance proposed to cover the first

The owner questions page answers more of these, and the New Bern, NC data page shows the local business mix.
